WEST HAM v BIRMINGHAM
1-1 (1-1)
SUNDERLAND v WIGAN
2-0 (1-0)
MIDDLESBROUGH v FULHAM
1-0 (1-0)
EVERTON v READING
1-0 (0-0)
DERBY v TOTTENHAM
0-3 (0-0)
BOLTON v PORTSMOUTH
0-1 (0-0)
ASTON VILLA v NEWCASTLE
4-1 (0-1)
Michael Owen gave the magpies a first-half lead, but left to bite the dusk after that with 3 minutes onslaught by the villians. Newcastle failed to recovered after that. thus leaving manager Kevin Keegan still searching for his first league win and fear of a relegation battle.
Man United v Man City
1-2 (0-2)
it was $23 for a A-A bet on sunday morning. on a day where Manchester mourns the death of Busby babes and those who perished. many thought that the Red Devils would rise to the occasion and getting those 3 points. but wat ive seen is totally not the stuff that you expect from the defending champions. City however seemingly behaving like a home team, closing down furiously whenever they lost possession. Micah Richards, Richard Dunne was outstanding in defence. Joe Hart was equally impressive.
unlike the way they have to defend like hell in the last encounter back in August. this City team seems comfortable after taking the lead. Stephen Ireland and Martin Petrov was enjoying themselves on the wings. attacking when opportunities arise. its wat a match ive been seeking... no fear for the champions when playing at Theater of Dreams. its jus another football game.
CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL
0-0
REDS captain Steven Gerrard has revealed its impossible now to think about any chance of catching up on the title race. instead focus on fourth place. as their supporter, i dun even wanna dream about it.
ARSENAL v BLACKBURN
2-0 (1-0)
the Gunners have stretch the lead to 5 points with same no. of games played.
coming up this weekend, FA CUP 5th round action. notably the tie at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Arsenal. the last time these 2 sides met at the same ground in 2003, the Gunners came up on top with a 2-0 win. Beckham had a boot kicked on his face thereafter. it would be a interesting tie with lots of controversy... guarantee. :)
and then the Champions League 2nd round the days after.
