Liverpool FC became the fourth English club to make it through to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after Fernando Torres struck in the second half to knock-out ten-man FC Internazionale Milano.
The Spanish international's 26th goal of the season, and his fourth in this competition, gave the Reds a three-goal aggregate lead which was to prove insurmountable for the Italian champions. The Nerazzurri elimination at the first knockout stage provides Liverpool to dream of a third final appearance in four attempts.
Only blot on Liverpool's evening was a booking for Gerrard which rules the captain out of the quarter-final first leg.

After their FA Cup heroics, Redknapp may rotate his players to freshen things up.
The fitness of his players won’t be in question, but to stave off any cup hangover Redknapp may bring Milan Baros and Lauren back into the starting XI.
Alex McLeish has a relatively fresh squad to call upon, as the Blues haven’t been in action since the memorable 4-1 thrashing of Spurs on March 1st. with only forward Olivier Kapo still ruled out with a hamstring problem and Martin Taylor serving the second game of his three-match ban.
